I'm Gloria (although insiders call me Glow)

I grew up between the Netherlands and Tanzania, with a Dutch father and Tanzanian mother. Navigating different cultures, languages and expectations has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.

For a long time, I thought belonging meant finding the right place — or the right version of myself for that place. Living in Tanzania as an adult, and later returning to the Netherlands, taught me something different: home isn't always a place. Sometimes it's a feeling of being at home in yourself. That experience is part of what brought me to this work.

Psychology meets

I'm a psychologist with a background in HR and People & Culture, and I specialise in transcultural and multicultural contexts.

  • I bring together evidence-based psychological approaches with systemic and transcultural thinking, mindfulness, practical tools and intuitive exercises. But perhaps most importantly, I bring curiosity. I'm interested in the whole person and context — your experiences, relationships, culture, identity and the environments you move through.

  • My own experiences of cultural transitions, changing relationships, career shifts, parenthood and loss have also shaped the way I work. They have taught me that growth isn't always about fixing something. Sometimes it's about understanding yourself differently, making space for what has changed, and finding a way forward that feels true to you.

  • When I'm not working, you'll usually find me in nature, at a museum, cooking, travelling or dancing with my daughter. I love exploring different places, perspectives and finding beauty in the everyday.
